Nolobe on Monday announced the release of Iris, a of the present day image editor for Mac OS X. Iris costs $79.

Iris uses a one-window interface instead of multiple floating palettes like Photoshop.

Iris uses a one-window image editing interface that eschews multiple palettes. It includes an assortment of paint settings, brushes and drawing tools, color correction tools and compositing capabilities for images, text and effects. Iris supports a range of different image toothed formats including TIFF, PNG, JPEG, JPEG-2000, GIF, BMP, PICT, PSD and others.

Iris requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
